World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has appointed Craig Stimmel as senior vice president and head of global sales and partnerships.
voice will become a key member of the company’s senior management team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and expanding the roster of WWE sponsors and promotional partnerships.
Stimmel will report to WWE Chair and Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon and Co-CEO Nick Khan.
The newcomer comes from social video platform Snapchat, where he served as global brand executive for the past three years.
The move to add new leadership to the sales team comes at a time of change at WWE, after majority shareholder and former CEO Vince McMahon stepped down from an active role at the company last month.
The move followed a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report that revealed the board was investigating McMahon for over $12 million that he allegedly offered to four former employees to silence allegations of sexual misconduct.
Elsewhere, a Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment company Comcast viewersNational Hockey League (NHL) Philadelphia Flyers owner, promoted Blair Listino from her previous position as Chief Financial Officer to Executive Vice President.
With overall responsibility for developing growth strategies and optimizing the group’s finances, Listino has steadily risen through the ranks at Comcast Spectator. Prior to that, she served as vice president of accounting and finance for eight years.
